Everyone dreams.... you, me everyone! Dreams come creeping in our mind and souls in the dead of the night as we slumber.  Dreams interrupt our reality in the full blaze of the sun.  Some dreams barely show themselves, some dreams are so vivid we shrink from the force of the them.  Some dreams are so crazy a Wizard could not make sense of them, while other dreams flow with the grace of a Angel.  You can not escape your dreams or stop them from becoming a part of you.  So dream on my friend, Dream ON!

Who loves a Challenge?

Or should I say who doesn't ♥ love ♥ a challenge??? There is the thrill of the competition, the dream of being the winner, the recognition, the fun times and most special >the bond with your fellow competitors<  Sounds like a grand time to me :)

Avatar Connection, social virtual world, is having a free themed Contest on the special sim appropriately called 'Contest Island' .  You get 1000 prims and 20 scripts to create your masterpiece.  Theme is London 2012 Olympics... Going for the Gold! Build your own Olympic dream!

According to historical records, the first ancient Olympic Games can be traced back to 776 BC. They were dedicated to Olympian gods and staged in Olympia. 

Years later the games were banned by the Roman emperor and no games were played for 1500 years. In 1890, Coubertin (a French man) began the revival of the Olympic games.  

November 25, 1892, Coubertin stated,

Let us export our oarsmen, our runners, our fencers into other lands. That is the true Free Trade of the future; and the day it is introduced into Europe the cause of Peace will have received a new and strong ally. It inspires me to touch upon another step I now propose and in it I shall ask that the help you have given me hitherto you will extend again, so that together we may attempt to realise [sic], upon a basis suitable to the conditions of our modern life, the splendid and beneficent task of reviving the Olympic Games.**

In 1896, the first 'modern' Olympic games were held in Athens. The Olympic Games are considered to be the world's greatest sports competition with more than 200 nations participating.  Today, nearly every nation is represented.  Peace is the foundation we all stand on, Pride of one's country is the building blocks to reach that goal, and Passion being the driving force that helps us understand and hold on to our beloved Olympic Games! No other event in all the world gives everyone, young and old, rich or poor, the desire to better ourselves and our friends in hopes of bringing world Peace to each and every heart!
