Halloween and Linda Kellie?

Time ... where does it go.  Why can't you bottle it up and drink it later? Why isn't it consistent, sometimes moving sooooooooooooooooooooo slow it's like walking in quicksand.  Other times moving so fast you can't catch your breathe as it whirls by.  I was most surprised to see its been a month since my last blog for DREAMERS.  It seems like just the other day.  I remember my Dad telling me that the older you get the faster times moves.  I didn't truly understand his meaning but today I know it true and felt the hands of time moving faster and faster and faster.

Avatar Connection is already beginning another contest... YES! Dreams come creeping in our mind and souls in the dead of the night as we slumber.  Dreams interrupt our reality in the full blaze of the sun.  Some dreams barely show themselves, some dreams are so vivid we shrink from the force of the them.  Some dreams are so crazy a Wizard could not make sense of them, while other dreams flow with the grace of a Angel.  You can not escape your dreams or stop them from becoming a part of you.  So dream on my friend, Dream ON!

Who loves a Challenge?

Or should I say who doesn't ♥ love ♥ a challenge??? There is the thrill of the competition, the dream of being the winner, the recognition, the fun times and most special >the bond with your fellow competitors<  Sounds like a grand time to me :)

Avatar Connection, social virtual world, is having a free themed Contest on the special sim appropriately called 'Contest Island' .  You get 1000 prims and 20 scripts to create your masterpiece.  Theme is London 2012 Olympics... Going for the Gold! Build your own Olympic dream!

According to historical records, the first ancient Olympic Games can be traced back to 776 BC. They were dedicated to Olympian gods and staged in Olympia. 

Years later the games were banned by the Roman emperor and no games were played for 1500 years. In 1890, Coubertin (a French man) began the revival of the Olympic games.  

November 25, 1892, Coubertin stated,

Let us export our oarsmen, our runners, our fencers into other lands. That is the true Free Trade of the future; and the day it is introduced into Europe the cause of Peace will have received a new and strong ally. It inspires me to touch upon another step I now propose and in it I shall ask that the help you have given me hitherto you will extend again, so that together we may attempt to realise [sic], upon a basis suitable to the conditions of our modern life, the splendid and beneficent task of reviving the Olympic Games.**

In 1896, the first 'modern' Olympic games were held in Athens. The Olympic Games are considered to be the world's greatest sports competition with more than 200 nations participating.  Today, nearly every nation is represented.  Peace is the foundation we all stand on, Pride of one's country is the building blocks to reach that goal, and Passion being the driving force that helps us understand and hold on to our beloved Olympic Games! No other event in all the world gives everyone, young and old, rich or poor, the desire to better ourselves and our friends in hopes of bringing world Peace to each and every heart!

Dreams of UrbanGrunge Neko Playground

Neko = the Japanese word for 'cat' ... our feline friends.  "Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat." - Mark Twain Notebook, 1894

Even if you are not a cat lover, you will love this place! and I have heard that over  half the world are true cat lovers! Purrrrrrrrrrr!

Sansa Targaryen a great promoter of Avatar Connection , and assistant to the founders Kuu Cheng and Tweedle Dum, is one of the oldest residents in this social virtual world.  Sansa's rezz date is 7.30.2011  "Happy Rezz Day Sansa"!  and she invited us to come enjoy her amazing build giving out  free punk rock shirts and dancing to the  DJ tunes by AC's own Boo Zipper on Saturday at 8pm UTC time! 

Bantering, jokes and talk of the London Olympics and a bit of pogo hopping to the punk rock sounds ensured a good time was had by all.  The build is above ground (300m) on the Four Seasons region and encompasses a small city, playground, clubs, sitting areas, dance areas, and so much more.  You must go by to see this amazing place and when in the 'Clubhouse' you can color with crayolas or eat some tasty popcorn or just roam around and play on the many wonderful fun things Sansa dreamed up and created.

Build Your Dreams

There will always be 'Dreamers', young and old, happy or sad, day or night one can delve into a dream standing up or sitting down.  There is something 'magical and mythical' about dreams.   Dreams are faint images, ideas, emotions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind...  those brave enough to embrace their dreams with curiosity and delight feel the desire to create and explore.  Avatar Connection is the perfect place (as their motto says) to "Build Your Dreams".
